Christmas camp a hit with kiddies

The Oval, the usually austere Victorian headquarters of the KZNICU, resembled a creche at times last week. The ocassion was a Christmas cricket camp for children ahead of the festive season break that saw between 10 and 15 children on any given day getting to grips with the basics of mini-cricket. More importantly, they also had the opportunity to socialise with other children and gave their parents a welcome break.
Pictured are mini-cricket co-ordinator Mercia Baatjies and Darren Mortimer, in charge of the KZNICU’s excellence programme, with some of their charges taking a break.
