Inland sitting pretty

The hand of head coach Grant Morgan is evident in the performance of the Inland senior team that is in a much better place it has been for some time.
Having completed three 3-day fixtures and three 1-day fixtures thus far in the 2013/14 season(against Namibia, North West and Free State), Inland is comfortably placed to chase down a play-off position in both competitions when the seaon winds down early next year.
Inland’s next assignment is at The Oval in Pietermaritzburg against Griquas, a tough outfit that does well whether it plays away or at its homeground in Kimberley. The 3-day encounter is scheduled to start on Thursday, November 14 with the 1-day match taking place on SWunday, November 17. Of interest to cricket enthusiasts is that the capping ceremony for the five Inland representative sides doing battle in the various age group competitions in December will take place during the lunch break on Sunday.
